Intentionally formulated. Thoughtfully made.

On the Rocks Apothecary is a small-batch apothecary inspired by coastal living, the Pacific Northwest, and the belief that everyday routines can be grounding rituals.

Founded by Michelle LeClair, each product is intentionally formulated with purpose — blending creativity, science, and nature-forward ingredients to create goods that feel good to use and fit seamlessly into daily life. Every candle, body product, home fragrance, and pet item is made in small batches with care, consistency, and integrity at the forefront.

We believe in thoughtful formulation over trends, quality over quantity, and creating products that are both functional and elevated. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is made without intention.

On the Rocks Apothecary is proudly certified as a Military Spouse–Owned Small Business, built with the adaptability, resilience, and attention to detail that military life requires.

Meet the maker behind On the Rocks Apothecary

Michelle LeClair is the maker and formulator behind On the Rocks Apothecary — a coastal soul shaped by saltwater, forests, and a lifelong love of creating something meaningful from scratch.

What began in the Florida Keys as a playful, beach-inspired candle and body care project has evolved into a thoughtfully formulated apothecary rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Now based on Whidbey Island, Washington, Michelle draws inspiration from the intersection of sea and forest — cold water, winding trails, mossy air, and the grounding rituals of everyday life.

Her work blends creativity and science with a deep appreciation for nature-forward ingredients and intentional formulation. Each product reflects her journey from sun-warmed shorelines to misty woods, balancing softness with strength and care with function.

Often nearby are her two long-haired dachshunds, Copper and Sasquatch (affectionately known as Sassy), who inspired the brand’s expanding pet care line — because thoughtful care shouldn’t stop with humans.

On the Rocks Apothecary is more than self-care. It’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and find a little grounding wherever you are — whether that looks like a quiet morning ritual or a well-earned moment of rest.
